Maya rental license

Hello,

can I install a 1-month-rental license on a foreign computer, where a different user already has an educational license and switch it back later? Is it just so simple as logging in and out?

Because I could lend me a workstation for a short-time job project, but of course I can't use an edu version.

I don't remember anymore how it was with Maya licensing…

No you can't subscribe to a product and install and use it in another country.   The only way this can be done is that you obtain a subscription with ETR rights but I think the min qty is 50 license.

However you should not mix an educational and commercial license on the same machine.

Hi, no you misunderstood me, sorry for my English. I mean not a "foreign" country, just a computer which isn't my own.

Because I can't buy a computer now (I own only a laptop which is good enough for applications like zBrush, but not for Maya).

So my question is in other words, if I would harm the edu license of a student, who friendly(!) borrows me the computer for short time, when I run then a rental license on it.

Of course during rental usage I would deactivate the edu license, but the person would like to have his computer back exactly like it was before (of course!).

Understood..   Yes you can install on a machine that doesn't belongs to you.   Again it is not recommended to install a commercial license on a machine that has an active Educational license.  In addition (to deactivate) you would have to uninstall the educational license and its licensing details.  Meaning would the person loaning the machine allow you to do this?

Yes, the condition was, that I have to leave it back as I got it before. I would have to reinstall it then.

(Which is cheaper than buying a workstation)
