Maya 2018 does not open

 I use a mac, OS X version 10.11.6.  Installed Maya 2018.  It lets me enter the serial number and then crashes and will not load up.  And now Maya 2016 and 2017 which were working fine, will not load up either.  I did install the update 2 version.  What's going on here?

Hello @Anonymous, 

 

This could be associated with a systems issue or corrupt installation, it is important to use your system utilities to search for the cause. 

 

You can take a look at the steps below: 

  1. Reboot the computer 
  2. Check for malware with https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/
  3. Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac
  4. Update or check the graphics card driver on the system
  5. Try to use the Mac Disk Utility to fix a disk problem 
  6. Try using Mac Activity Monitor to see what may be interfering in the background while you are trying to launch the application, then uninstall or force quit of that interfering application
  7. Conduct a   Clean Uninstall for MAC  & Use a Browser Download Method in  your Autodesk Account or via the Autodesk Virtual Agent
