Maya 2017 Student Licence Activation ERROR 0015.107

Hi, while attempting to install Maya 2017 student license on centos-release-6-9.el6.12.3.x86_64, I've become very stuck at the Product License Activation. My only option is to click the "Activate" button ("Run" being greyed out), so I click that and try the "Connect now and activate!" Even though I am connected to the internet, it pops out saying "not connected to the internet". This option doesn't work, so I do "Use Another Method". I fill out all the boxes, and get to "Request Code". I then follow the instructions to get the request code. However, going offline like it recommended doesn't change the screen--it still presents "Connect now and activate!" or "I have an activation code from Autodesk" as the only options.

I contacted autodesk student community and they sent me an email suggesting a totally wrong solution. I'd really appreciate any help. This is for a project work and I really need to get Maya running ASAP.

I have also attached screenshots for reference. Offline activationOffline activationrequest code is blankrequest code is blankOnline activation not workingOnline activation not workingOffline activation with .xml not workingOffline activation with .xml not working

Thanks,

Hello @sg104E3FCF

Welcome to the community.

We do not support Maya 2017 or 2018 on a CentOS 6.9 operating system, so it may or may not work even if you activate it. Please review the following information below:

Make sure you are entering the proper Product Key:

Autodesk Maya 2017             657I1

Hello @Anonymous,

I meant your version of CentoOS 6.9. ( it only states 6.5 & 7.2).

Thank you.

In that case, how did it get installed if it's not supported?

Hello @Anonymous,

The system requirements are determined by a team within Autodesk that tests several functional properties of the software application on particular operating systems, & hardware etc,. They then collect the information based on function & performance, therefore the system requirements do not determine if an application can or can not be installed, it states what has been tested & approved by Autodesk to function properly with that specific Autodesk application.

So you may get this to work on this operating system, but please be aware that it is not tested & approved by Autodesk.

A disclaimer at the bottom:

Thank you for posting to the forums.
