Maya 2016 student version opens with black scene

Hey guys,

i've recently registered for the free Maya 2016 Student Version. (for Windows 64-bit)

The download and installation was without any problems, but when i opened the program the scene window was completely black

I can see the tools and everything is clickable...but the scene is just...black :C Here is a screenshot

Does someone know what the problem could be? 

I'm thankful for every helping advise!

Sorry to hear about the issue. Have you updated Maya with the latest service pack and updated your graphics card driver?

Can you try using the Legacy Viewport Render:

I looks to me that your Graphics Card may not be supported to run Maya 2016 you can check the following list to see if it is:
