Maya 2016 isnt installing

So for the last few hours ive been trying to install maya 2016 onto my brand new computer. Everything was going smoothly until I actually began the installing process. I tried installing it multiple times and each time it would get about 1/4 of the way dont and quit, a screen would pop up that says "Several items failed to be installed" or something along thkse lines.. Each time it would quit at different lengths into the installation but never really got that far in. I have no clue what it could be, my internet is awful but id assume because the set up s already downloaded that shouldnt matter? Im downloading the windows 64-intel version, but i know im running an AMD processor, would I have to find a different download?

Welcome to the community..

Without your installation log file we can only speculate what the issue is.   Either post that installation log file or...

I will assume its simply failing due to the method your using so....

Download and install per:

1. Access the Autodesk Virtual Agent and follow the download links to your product.
2. Download all of the parts (some applications only have a single part to download) for your product first. Do not continue until all of the parts have fully downloaded.
3. Navigate to your download folder location and extract (double click) part _001_00X.sfx.exe (or the single file download).
4. In a few seconds the extraction will start and prompt you to extract to C:\Autodesk.
5. Once the extraction is finished, the installation will automatically start.
6. Follow the installation steps for your product

If you want the full recommended installation steps, click on the installation link in my signature.

However if the installation does fail using this method, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.  Posting info: Sometimes installation log files contain personal information such as your serial #.  Prior to posting your log file please make sure to remove such info.

Good luck on your installation and report back on your progress.

It's failing due to the method you are using. Use the Autodesk Virtual Agent steps I indicated earlier. Also I.guess you didn't read about posting personal info here because your log file you shared still has your serial number in it.

No, I didnt even realize my serial number was even in there. I'll look into erasing it from the board. Thank you for your help.
