Making money from education licence projects

The issue is quite simple. I've made a bunch of designs using the educational licences and I know that you can't make money of things made in them, but my problem is as follows:

I've made a project for my engineering class as a one of but seeing the huge amount of appeal it got I've started to think about making it a retail product. If I where to buy the commercial version of the software used in creating this project would that be fine or do I have to buy them and redo all of the models and PCB designs again in the paid versions?

Thank you for your help.

Illegal use of your EDU software: buying commercial version doesn't make it legal unless you plan on redrawing everything from scratch too.

The answer is very simple to: Educational Use only non comercial and no money making endeavors from anything made from an EDU license so unfortunately you would need to remake as to change the license meta data type.

To be clear it would be legal if I where to make the parts all over again in the commercial version of the software?

Yeah as you've have paid for the right make money and have the EDU metadata removed so perfectly legal.

And if I where to make an ad of the product using the current prototype made with the EDU version would that be okay too?

@RedLegoCraft

This statement "I've made a project for my engineering class as a one of but seeing the huge amount of appeal it got" in your original posting..  Where did this "hugh amount of appeal" come from?  Within your class/teacher?

The information created in an educational product of Autodesk cannot be shared public in any way outside your school/classroom or in any way where someone is making money.

Nope, you can't use the EDU model to create an AD as that would deemed commercial and therefore making money which is forbidden. Anything to do with making money must be done on a commercial license, end of.

If you're using a model manufactured using the files made on edu license that will also be illegal as it is derived from the file directly and you are still making money...
