LICENSE TRANSFER UTILITY

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I am trying to do a license transfer, but the system says "License transfer is not supported, " I have two options": 1. Sign in (It is not active to use) and 2. Quit. In any of those options the program allows me sign in. If I click in a different place outside of the window the program closes.

I downloaded the Building design suite from autodesk woth my user and password and I already uninstall all related programs in the other computer.

What to do?

Do you have a desktop subscription/term/rental type of license?  If so there's no need to use the license transfer lutility.  Activation is based on your Autodesk ID.

No on desktop subscription...

Do you have a network perpetual license type?  If so there's not need to use the license transfer utility.  THe activation occurs through the Autodesk license manager.

No on network perpetual license..

If you have a standalone perpetual license you can always reactivate using the Autodesk Virtual Agent (see link in my signature) and follow the Activcation/Registration links.

Short version: LTU is for perpetual stand-alone licenses only.  Even then, if this is a permanent transfer (e.g. setting up a new computer) its easier to activate on the new computer then uninstall on the first computer.
