License Transfer Utility (LTU) does not open on my new computer

I have transferred everything from my old Mac Book Pro to a new mac Book Pro. I have successfully de-activated my AutoCad LT for Mac 2013 on the old computer and when I click on the License Transfer Utility file it does not open the Sign In window. Only this text appears in Terminal.

Hi BJ.C

I have already checked those suggestions. But they don’t really make sense to me.

I have had the program running fine on my old Mac Book Pro and I have successfully de-activated it using LTU, but when I try to activate on the new Mac Book Pro it does not work. I am thinking I may have to uninstall and re-install the program.

Sorry to hear about the issue. In this case, I would recommend contact registration and activation to receive an activation code and they will get you up and going.

I have looked at that too. The problem is that I cannot open AutoCad at all. When I click on the AutoCAD program symbol the program tries to start and then shuts down immediately…

I tried to register the program again and soon got the message that the license had been bought in another country!! I am currently in Sweden, but bought the program while being in the USA. Will be back there in a week...

Ah, licenses are country specific. As for the shutting down, check to make sure your graphics card driver is fully up to date.

I am now back in the USA and have been able to download my AutoCad LT for Mac 2013. When I am going to install it I get the message that the I need OS X 10.6.4 or later to be able to install the software. I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.4! I would be happy to update to AutoCad LT 2015 for Mac but find the AutoDesk site highly confusing...

Have you installed service pack 3 for AutoCAD LT 2013? This service pack allows AutoCAD LT 2013 to be used on OS X Yosemite.

I am not getting anywhere! In order to install service pack 3 I first have to install AutoCad LT for Mac 2013 AND Service Pack 2. So I find Service Pack 2, download it and try to install it and it tells me exactly the same as when I try to install AutoCad LT. It won’t let me install anything.
Can I upgrade and install AutoCad LT 2016 instead?

I have looked at AutoCad LT for Mac 2015 and it does not seem like I will benefit from the improvements, as I am not that advanced. So I am just hoping for some help to get my 2013 version going. I have tried to install Service Packs 1, 2 and 3 and nothing works.

Unfortunately, as you are not on a current subscription, there is no upgrade available. However let's try a few more things to get you up and going. I suggest attempting the following:

• Perform a clean uninstall
• Reinstall from here with service pack 3
• Manually activate your license by contacting registration and activation

Eureka! I am up and running! I downloaded another version of AutoCad LT 2013 for Mac, the one called R2 instead of the R1 I have previously struggled with. That version had the service pack included. It installed beautifully and I had no trouble doing the License Transfer Utility. Thanks for helping me!
