rumor said that we might get a fine I do not doing it right... is there any true to that?....normally we just move the linsens in our Admin account to the new user ... format the computer .. and install the program on the computer that our new user are going to use... have that really change  so if we did it that way we might get a fine even if we are not using the license on more then one computer at the time ?

Hi!

You don't have to uninstall software or format the PC... is only log out from old user, and log in the new user in the software.

If each user logs in on the PC here is working, there's no problem.

Here is the official posting about it..

https://www.autodesk.com/solutions/autocad-subscription-faq#:~:text=Can%20I%20install%20AutoCAD%20on....

Can I install AutoCAD on multiple computers?

With a subscription to AutoCAD software, you can install it on up to 3 computers or other devices. However, only the named user can sign in and use that software on a single computer at any given time. Please refer to the Software License Agreement for more information.

What rules does count if you have a Autodesk software pack with no only autocad , but also Inventor and 3d studio max ?

All the package  must be assigned to an unique user, and the right to use it belongs to that named user, you can't distribute the different package's softwares for different users.

If you do that, Autodesk will make you pay all the distributed software, which will be a lot more expensive than the package. Also If several  users share the same log in, must probably will be duplicated use.... And you have to pay each duplication also.

Each package for one person, each person with a unique log in. You must remember that the price of the package is a lot less expensive than buying all the softwares alone, so you can't distribute them. If someone needs Inventor and other person needs 3D Max, buy it alone and assign the software to the respective user. Search for AUTODESK EULA, and you will have all the rules to use Autodesk subscriptions.

ok.. but is that any problem when transfer the license to a new user ?... We have 2 worker that have resigne.. and now we want to transfer the 2 license to 2 new worker.  we are not doing any share of the software to 2 user...only been warring about some changes that might make it look like we distributed software even if we never do so..

I personlig think it is a misunderstanding.. but was ask to look in to it to make sure.. we do it the right way

There's not a problem at all!

In the Autodesk console administration, unassign the licenses to the old users (if they have resigned, you can also delete them from the console), add the new users and finally assign the licenses to these new users.

You can even have several potential users in the console ready to receive the licenses at any time (more users than the licenses you have), and you can manage who receives the license and change it based on who needs a license that day, or changing the user in case of vacation, etc. (Of course, if you have more users than licenses, someone will be stuck without a license waiting for future changes).

The basic rule is, you can't replicate licenses... you can't have more people working at the same time than the number of licenses you have. Packages and the included software count as aone license, but you can change users whenever you need.

Read that, and if you have extra questions we can help.
