Laptop can't find Moldflow Adviser but it is installed

Hi,

I installed moldflow Adviser and opened the program without a problem.

Next time I tried opening the program it just didn't react. I tried again and nothing. I then went to the Autodesk site to try and install it again. But next to MoldFlow adviser there was an error sign. When holding my mouse over it, it said: "MoldFlow Adviser is already installed. If you want to add the English language pack you can install it from ...(link tot ama_lp)"

When I tried this there came another error saying: "error reading from file C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2018\x64\en-US\ama\PFiles\Autodesk\Moldflow Adviser 2018\bin\MC3Res.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." Clicking on retry did not help.

I then tried uninstalling MoldFlow from my computer. This gave another problem. When deleting it, it said: "SetupRes.dll is not found" which is weird because it is placed between my programs.

Now I really don't know what to do anymore!

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

I would recommend that you perform a clean uninstall per these instructions.  Make sure to use the Microsoft Fixit tool as indicated in that article.

NOTE: The information within the article is solely based on you performing a clean uninstall of all "core" Autodesk products on your machine.  In certain situations, you will most likely not be removing all of your Autodesk products to resolve a given issue.  If that's the case, you'll need to adjust those settings and locations within the article to make sure you are not impacting those other Autodesk products you plan on leaving on your machine.
