Issues installing Autocad 2019 - Error 1310 Error writing to file?

I am trying to install a copy of Autocad 2019 from the website and am getting this Error 1310 message come up 1hr 30mins in - Error 1310: Error writing to file  regarding this folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Geospatial Coordinate Systems 14.05

I am set as administrator for the Autodesk folder, I have cleared my temp files, cleaned my registry, deleted all sub apps and folders with unistall but I cannot even delete the troublesome folder.  My computer will not let me set administration rights for this folder and will not let me take ownership of the folder either and am now completely lost as to what to do.   This is of course a legal license and being downloaded/installed from the website.

Any help greatly appreciated as the only thing I can think to do next is wipe my entire laptop/windows to a fresh state and even then I am concerned it may do it again as it  only installed this folder during my first attempt at install this afternoon do it again as it 😞

Best Regards

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Are you using the install now method?

I know this is related to Inventor, but the check is still the same https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcartic...

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your reply.  I am using the install now option from the website.  I did try the process explained in this post, but not until after 3 failed attempts.  I was able to give full authorisation to all folders it states, but the folder I mentioned still did not get authorised front within the app data folder.

Uninstall any files left from ACAD using MS Fixit, then use download now and run the installer on an admin account with UAC and firewalls disabled.

Hi Leo,

Thank you for the reply

My system will not let me romove that folder as it thinks I don't own it, but also won't let me take ownership.  Really really really frustrated with the whole situation now, but need to find away to get this working ASAP (fingers crossed without having to backup, wipe then reinstall my entire system).

Have to say AD needs to look at their installation process as it's looking more and more likely I'm going to have to wipe and reinstall my entire os, programs and all my files.  Really shouldn't be able to put users in this position.

Any other ideas out there as getting desperate now.
