Installing onto 2nd hardrive

Hello,

My problem is that when I originally download the installer from the website I am able to get that to work, but then when I run the installer no matter where I have it, it sends that folder that it downloads to my C drive, but I need it on my D drive because my C drive does not have enough space for the whole application. Secondly, I am not sure if I am doing this part wrong or not, but if I follow through with the installation on on my C and then try sending the application to fully download onto my D drive that does not work either it will only send like 4 GB or something to the D drive. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Hello @Anonymous,

You can select a different drive when you are installing the program, on the configuration screen just before you click Install. If the browse button is deactivated, there is already something installed on the machine that is forcing the install to go to the C:\ drive a vertical etc.

Please review, How do I install on a different drive than C:\

First of all thank you for the response, but I am still running into problems because when I click on the installer it will send the autodesk file to my c drive right away and then I get the posted error after I move that file to D to do the rest of the installation

You are using the web installer..   There's a couple of ways to properly download and install your Autodesk product to your machine.  Please review this article and the solution it provides.

Good luck on your installation and report back on your progress.

Hello @Anonymous,

Yes, you should try another method of download like a Download Now or Browser Download then select a different drive during the install, through your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts).
