Installing on Win 11

Hi ,

I want to update my laptop but I'm wondering if Meshmixer works on  Windows 11 .

Does someone have experiece?

I'm going to say it's not supported: 

The last build is from 

MESHMIXER 3.5 (APRIL 17, 2018)

While it says: Microsoft Windows 7 or later

W11 wasn't an option back then

Even Win10 wasn't and option but on Win10 it works

we can make a deal, I will make the test and report you,  but if it doesn't work you come here , save my datas and reinstall me win10 and all the softwares back. In a couple of days you can manage

It's not rocket science, you just have to follow exact steps outlined all over the web for "old" software in new Win11 instead of whatever macho tough-nut thing it is you opted to slide into now LOL

Just tried the latest version of Meshmixer on Windows 11. Works as with Windows 10.

But always if you install new software, things can go wrong. So I always recommend to do a full backup of your OS. If something goes wrong, just do a restore.

I just did it as well .... needed 3ds Max and Inventor 2023 ... 

@campagna while it works, It's likely at our own discretions .. 

Make sure you have a back up file  just in case .
