I need help moving license from PC to Mac.

FIrstly, Why can't a student can get a call?  Why are we less of a person?  You would think they would want to help us as much as possible so we have a great experience for buying a subscription when we graduate.  I shouldn't have to wait for an email or group forum to answer.

Anyway, I bought a new iMac and now need to transfer AutoCAD Architecture 2020 and Revit 2020 over.   My license is for Windows but no where can I find how to correct that.  I went to manage license and now my PC no longer has access.  I can put it back my adding the license again but figured I'd ask first as to not due extra steps.

Welcome to Autodesk Community.

AutoCAD Architecture and Revit are not available for Mac.

Only AutoCAD & AutoCAD LT are available for Mac.

Hi,

Not sure how I did it but I found a way to chat with an agent.  They got me set up on AutoCAD Architecture for Mac and then made me faint by telling me there is no Revit for Mac.  I checked the calendar, yep it's 2020.   So now I have Parallel's with Revit there and trying to figure out how to save the work I do there.   Lol.   Thank you AutoDesk for always ensuring there is one thing wrong.

You can only install AutoCAD Architecture and Revit in Windows, if you wanted to use it on Mac, you have to use Parallels instead.

As advised before, only AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT has a Mac version for AutoCAD products family.

If you are not sure on how to use Revit, you can seek help in the Revit product section.

On top of that, there are also few tutorials online that you can refer to.

not quite sure who you chatted with but there is no Autocad Architecture for Mac 

system requirements have always been posted on Autodesks website just do a quick google search

revit has never been available for the MAC not quite sure where you read this

students are getting the software for free Autodesk could have easily charged for this but they didn’t you are not entitled to phone support because of this

I double-dog dare you to post a screenshot of AutoCADARCH natively running on MacOS to prove all of us wrong that say it is only available for Windows. Go on, show us 🙂
