Installation is always aborted while downloading the Microsoft Viusal C ++ 2005 SP1 (I already have this feature on my computer). What is the solution?

Hi @Anonymous Welcome to Autodesk Community!

Please disable your firewall and anti-virus programs, and re-download the software from our Virtual Agent (click on Download Links, choose product and version). Then try the installation again.

Deactivated all anti virus and firewall but the installation was not possible. The installation continues to be aborted after the first step (Microsoft C ++ 2005 SP1 installation).

Yes, I installed the Microsoft version. Autodesk installer does not identify that there is this version of Microsoft C ++ 2005 SP1 and try reinstalling the program. At this time the installation is still aborted, already updated my system several times with updates from Microsoft.

Can you upload a copy of your setup log here. You can get it by clicking the link on the install failure page.

Can you double click this specific installer and let me know what message you get? (C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2016\Support\VCRedist\2005\x64\vcredist_x64.exe)

I checked around a bit on the microsoft forum for any info on this error. You may find some solutions that work for you in this thread.

Thanks for the effort. I will try to solve this problem and try again to install Autodesk products in the future. Now I tried to install Autodesk Inventor and the installation was also aborted with the Microsoft C ++ 2012.

It might be time to consider cleaning all the visual ++ versions off of your system and re-installing them. Here are links if needed.

All suggested packages are installed and updated. I downloaded from the Microsoft website but Autodesk installer continue trying to install this package aborting the installation. There is installing the program without this step?

I found this thread at microsoft about a 1935 error when installing VC++2005. There seem to be some solutions in there. If none of them work for you it may be time to consider an OS rebuild.
