How to Set up GPU rendering for 3ds max using Vray

We are going to buy a new workstation specifically for rendering purposes. How do we setup GPU rendering??? We are using 3ds max and our architect uses Vray renderer

i'm not a Vray user but V ray is a cpu & ram only renderer unless this has changed over the years

So there is no Vray Plugin to make use of GPU to render?

Correct.

 

Generically speaking GPU rendering isn't always the most cost-effective solution.  At smaller scales its usually cheaper to get a faster CPU, and/or one with more cores (or a motherboard that supports multiple processors), plus sufficient RAM, along with a CPU-based renderer.
