Hi,
I have been trying to install Autodesk software onto the machines at my school. I am met with Error Code 1603 when I (A pupil with local admin on the machine), The general IT admin account or any other Network Admin account on the school network.
We have encountered this error across two different devices both are different specs but easily capable of running all Autodesk programs. When we first encountered this issue it was when we were attempting to install 3ds max on one of the machines. I then asked the IT admin to try it and it worked for him.
Now we are trying to install the latest version of Alias (2022) on one of our machines and I am being met with the below error code, no matter the user.
We have tried to install it per user and also with the usual roll out using new downloads of the files and the same download files that have worked on my personal devices.
My IT admin tells me that he thinks that it is because it cannot write the shortcuts into the appropriate folder. He has therefore made it so that anyone can write to this folder and there has been no change. It gets about 30% of the way through the process before it fails and from what I can tell always at the same percentage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as between us we have already spent 10 hours trying to fix this.
