I got this when installing, Error 1920. Service 'Autodesk Simulation Moldflow MITSI 2018 Job Manager' (mitsijm2018) failed to start.

I tried renaming msvcr100.dll to msvcr100.bak.

But this did not work, please help anyone.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

I would recommend that you remove all Microsoft C++ and put them back on based on this article: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-r...

Update: Than start the installation again..  Smiley Wink

Hi,

I have the same error during installing.

Error 1920. Service 'Autodesk Simulation Moldflow MITSI 2018 Job Manager' (mitsijm2018) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

I followed the process in https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-remove-and-reinst... but no positive result.

Cleaned the temp folder, rebooted after all these steps but no positive result...

Hello @Anonymous,

I have reviewed the log & I see the following as the first indication of failure. This issue might be that the Trusted root certificate is not installed on the machine which is needed to verify the signature.

MSI (s) (64:FC) [15:11:34:612]: SOFTWARE RESTRICTION POLICY: Verifying package --> 'C:\Windows\ccmcache\35\Img\x64\inventor\inventor.msi' against software restriction policy
MSI (s) (64:FC) [15:11:34:612]: Note: 1: 2262 2: DigitalSignature 3: -2147287038
MSI (s) (64:FC) [15:11:34:612]: SOFTWARE RESTRICTION POLICY: C:\Windows\ccmcache\35\Img\x64\inventor\inventor.msi is not digitally signed
MSI (s) (64:FC) [15:11:34:613]: SOFTWARE RESTRICTION POLICY: C:\Windows\ccmcache\35\Img\x64\inventor\inventor.msi is permitted to run at the 'unrestricted' authorization level.

Take a look at this article, The digital signature needed for this install can't be verified & Working with Certificates
