All of the sudden users getting Network License Not Available error. (Win10 ADSK2018) It works only with admin accounts and seems like updates changed some permissions. Anyone had the same issue?

Hi@lomakiny,

Thanks for your feedback.

Could you please explain the issue a bit more?

Is this issue is related to Auto desk desktop app or accounts portal?

Regards,

Srinivas.

Hi Srinivas,

We have BDSU and IDSU 2018 edu installed in our labs running single license server. If any desktop app is launched by standard user that when they get this error. If logged on with admin account on the same system it successfully receives license from the server.

thanks

I have a user with the same problem, but I've never encountered this issue before. Is there a solution that doesn't involve granting users administrative rights?

Is this a minus 1 (-1) error or a positive 1 (1) error?

It's a minus error, here's a screenshot:

Despite what it says, licenses are available and if an admin user logs in on that PC, they are able to obtain a license without issue.

Good in the sense it was the minus 1 error..  The positive 1 error code didn't make sense for an Autodesk product and I've never seen the positive 1 error ever appear for Autodesk products.

Do you have this in you registry for the user having an issue? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FLEXlm License Manager Do you see "ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE" as a value there?
