error 126 when opening autocad while working remotely only

Loadlibrary failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found.

Hi all,

Working directly on the desktop we got no issues. When users remote into the desktop and try running any AutoCAD software they get the error 126 showed above. Already went thru lot of threads with no luck to a resolution.

One of the computers is a Dell 5070 with the following display adapters:

1. AMD Radeon RX 550 discrete video card

2. Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630.

Both up to date, the system as well is fully up to date with Win10. Because of the remote session in the desktop, another adapter shows up

3. Microsoft Remote Display Adapter.
After hours of uninstalling and reinstalling software and drivers we got to the conclusion, to make the AutoCAD software work we need to disable either the AMD or Intel driver, or disable them both.

I am sure the has to be a correct way to make this work, I really don't want to be doing this in case the user go directly to the office and tries to work directly on the desktop, since disable they wont be able to use the monitors.

Thank you for posting in the forums. 

I have reviewed the information you provided, we do have reports of remote connections causing this issue the bandwidth & graphics can pose problems in this situation. I would recommend another remote access tool like https://www.logmein.com/,  it's free.

Unfortunately the solution was not what I wanted to hear. It was provided the issue is with AMD which I don't really think so. With AMD and Intel drivers disable both, or with one of them disable I found no issues with the software. And again only happens when remoted into the computer. At the moment we just decided to forget about the issue and disable both drivers until things get back to normal and people return to the office to work, which I would need to enable the AMD and Intel drivers once again.

I find it very unfortunate and concerning that this issues has not been resolved professionally by Autodesk; it is now July 2024! Clearly, there are tons of people who have to RDP and use Autodesk software (personally AutoCAD). Having to disable/enable graphics driver(s) and/or suggestions to use other [free] remote access tools are not acceptable and appalling. People may as well look for a FREE software to replace AutoCAD then...

You personally, plus 1000s of other fellow users with this need (not from the same company or email addresses like 'hotmail') must contact Autodesk to ask for it (yes, they make it hard, and they only want to hear from subscribers too)

Since the COVID pandemic, I mostly work from home using RDP. And my experience is working remotely with AutoCAD, Revit etc. is remarkably easy? No serious problems encountered. Same for a lot of my colleagues.
