Energy Analysis Not Working

Have been working in Revit and suddenly the energy analysis tools are not working.  I get an error message that says I don't currently have access to this service and my license period has ended.  I have a current subscription, so not sure what this is referring to.  Help?

Hi @StaceyWhite,

The Energy Analysis feature runs in the cloud.  Please verify that you have Internet connectivity and that you have logged into your A360 account in Revit.

Hi

I have simillar problem!

I am trying to run energy analysis in Revit. I am able to generate the energy model  through the energy optimization tab, but in GBS page my account is expired. I get the following notification:

"Your account has expired.

Note: access to your account may be permanently blocked after 60 days from the date of expiration(1/10/2117)"

Also, when I try to generate Insight I get following notification: "You do not currently have access to Insight360!"

I tried to follow solution proposed by this post:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/ecotect-analysis/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticl...

Solution

1.  Your account may be expired.  If it is expired, renew your subscription to the product which has Autodesk Green Building Studio as a subscription benefit.  If your account was purchased through the eStore, you can will see a message on the Green Building Studio web service which allows you to renew from there.

I have educational Revit licence which expires in  December  2019

2.  Try accessing your Green Building Studio account from a different computer.  It is possible based on your past browser settings or choosing the “Remember My User ID” checkbox  that you have a persistent cookie associated with your login.  If you are able to login to Green Building Studio from a different computer, delete the Autodesk Green Building Studio cookie from your computer and repeat your login to Green Building Studio.

I've tried to follow this step, yet on another computer I get the same notification.

I really need help with this one I need to finish assignment!

Best Regards

Krzysztof

Hello @StaceyWhite & @Anonymous,

I understand you are encountering an issue with Revit 2017. This is a common issue and these steps usually resolve the problem.

STEP 1: Forcing reactivation of the product

  • Close any running Autodesk programs.
  • Remove all files under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ADUT.
  • Remove all files under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADUT.
  • Go to C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet and delete all files that start with adskflex.

STEP 2 - Reset the license information

  • Using Windows Explorer, browse to the following folder:
    C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\<Product_Key>_2017.0.0.F

If the folder does not exist, create it.

LGS_data.png

Note: The <Product_Key> must match the product that is giving the error. For example, if you get the error with 3ds Max 2017 you need to use product key 128I1. This is true even if you installed from a suite.

Delete the LGS.data file, if it exists.

  • Using Notepad (or preferred text editor) create a new text file called LGS.data

Add the following text to the text file:
_STANDALONE (or _NETWORK if the product uses a network license). The text must be all capital letters.

LGS_data2.png

Save the file to the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\<Product_Key>_2017.0.0.F

  • Launch the product & reactivate it.

I hope this answered your question or resolved the issue, if so please click Kudos or the "thumbs-up!" Did my response help resolve the issue? Please "Accept As Solution" to help others in the community.

Hi!

Thank you for your quick response.

I've followed your instruction, now when I try to generate an Insight I get following prompt:

"Generating Insight can take few minutes.
When your results are ready we'll notify you be email"

Then it prompts

"Service Unavailable

Please try again later"

Also, my GBS account is still expired. Any ideas?

Regards

Krzysztof
