educational license

hi, I just downloaded Maya 2018, and it requires me to sign in. I have an educational license but when I sign in, it says that my trial has expired and I have to subscribe to use the program. What should I do?

Did you request it?  https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/maya

If you did you would've been issued a serial # for activation.

Welcome to the community!

I reviewed your account and can see that you have a Maya 2018 student license. You can view your serial number by logging in to your Autodesk account. Then try the following:

-sign out of the Autodesk Desktop App which may be running in the Windows system tray

-reset licensing

-launch the product and select the ‘Enter a Serial Number’ option on the ‘Let’s Get Started’ screen

-use your serial number and product code 657J1 for Maya 2018

It should immediately activate but it has taken me once around 6 hours for the product to activate and register to my account.
