Maya will not utilize two GPU's simultaneously. Whichever GPU your monitor that has Maya on it is pluggined into is the GPU Maya will use. The only way to get the second GPU to be utilized is if you were using a specialized plugin that could run tasks across multiple cards, or using the cards for GPU rendering.

If the maya viewport is slow I would suggest getting either the latest drivers or the drivers Autodesk supports for the M6000. The only other suggestion I can give you would be to upgrade to 2016 if that doesn't help.

EDIT: If your cards are currently in SLI, disable it. It is not necessary, unusable for Maya, and will cause you more headaches.

I wasn't able to find any specific driver for Maya either. Most likely because they don't make one anymore. On the partner page for NVIDIA, the driver number is 347, that was around the initial release of Maxwell if I can remember correctly. Use this driver, it's the latest one and should work perfectly fine. Oh, and it's Windows 10 64-bit 😉

I went to the link you gave me and installed the 362.56 driver but nothing happened. My animation goes really slow in the viewport and no gpu is running. Do you think i should disable one of the two graphic cards?

Thanks

Just to be safe, your monitors are plugged into the graphics card and not the motherboard, right? 😉

Heres what I would do. Download DDU (http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html) and run it. It should reboot you into safe mode, in which you should clean and restart the NVIDIA drivers. This will completely remove them from your system. Power down and take out whichever card is not in PCI-e Slot 0. Reboot into Windows and install the latest drivers again. If there's an option available for 'clean install' select it. After the drivers are installed reboot your machine and then try out Maya! If it's still weird, shut down and switch the cards. There's a chance you may have gotten a defective card. Make sure you plug your monitors into the graphics cards, not the motherboard. Otherwise Maya will not utilize it. But I'm pretty sure you know that. 🙂

Is Maya the only application that the GPU is suffering in? If you can test it in other 3D apps (try downloading blender and then running a GPU render benchmark) or even a game and see what happens. If it works in other apps, I may suggest reinstalling Maya.

This is actually bizarre. I have absolutely no idea why the card won't work it Maya. It's supposed to be supported.

do you think win 7 could be a solution?

i also read autodesk doesn't support the card but nvidia does, so, that's why i still think it could work and thank you very much for all your help...

The M5000 should be completely supported. I've read numerous reviews about it's great performance in Maya for the M4000, M5000, and M6000. There has to be something wrong here. If you have a second machine available, or even another hard drive available try installing Windows 7 on it and testing the cards there. This is really weird.
