There are many issues here.  I renewed my education script, but Autodesk doesn't recognize it. I swear this happened last year too. This is utterly ridiculous.

Then when I try and download and re-install, just to check to see if that would work I get this ridiculous error.

Happens EVERY FLIPPING TIME!!

@pendean Why is this even a thing in 2025?? This should be a non-event. This should never happen. that doesn't even touch on the fact that I've renewed my education license and it's still not reconciling in the software. Autodesk is nauseating!!

We are all end users around here helping others: I chose to assist, I could have not, if you wish to complain please take it to your 'school' administrators first, and if needed, Autodesk direct over here as a last resort https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

I get it, and appreciate the assist, it's really as simple as these software issues shouldn't be happening in 2025. Everyone else has figured out license / user mgmt, renewals etc, yet Autodesk can't seem to figure it out? Hard for me to give a pass to companies that charge a large sum of money for their products, luckily, I'm fortunate enough to have student use.

There used to be forums dedicated to educational topics, but it seems they didn't survive the latest forum overhaul? Only thing I can find is this: Autodesk Education Community Support & Training Resources

Edit: There's been a post about this:

Effective immediately, the Education Community will become read-only and will be officially retired on May 2nd. We believe this change will foster greater collaboration and resource sharing among all our users.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Education Community over the past few years. Moving forward, please ask any education-related installation and licensing issues in the Subscription, Installation, and Licensing forum, or raise it directly with the education support, and look out for Expert Elite members for support and guidance.

Ugh, I feel your pain — Autodesk's education licensing system can be super glitchy. I had the same kind of headache with an older version of Revit too, and it drove me nuts.

Honestly, after wasting hours trying to fix it, I gave up on the free route and ended up grabbing a pre-owned Revit license instead. Way less drama, works like a charm, and it’s fully legit. If you're done dealing with those endless errors, this might be worth a look at this offer https://procadis.com/editions/autodesk-revit-2025/  . It saved me a ton of stress.
