Hi,

First off. Im new to the forum. Sorry if there's already a post about this. But I couldn't find one.

When I instal DWG TrueView on a local user. that is not local administrator.

I get the error message Down below

emil4587D_0-1673950020344.png

It doesnt matter if I install it as local admin. Even if I manage to open the program on the local user after that.
I am met with a blank start window. And when I wanna locate my DWG files I only see the administrators side of the explorer. And cannot navigate to the local user. I've tried the CMD command:

REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\DWG TrueView\R21\dwgviewr-6101:409\UserData" /v {28B89EEF-6128-0409-0100-CF3F3A09B77D} /f

REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\DWG TrueView\R21\dwgviewr-6101:409\UserData" /v {CDE988A0-A926-4610-A1F3-DDA8F1312B0B} /t REG_SZ /d "Software\Autodesk\DWG TrueView\R21\dwgviewr-6101:409" /f

This only made the problem worse. Now I cant even install DWG TrueView again...

I know the 2022 version works on another user. But couldn't find that version on Autodesks site.

Please help me!!

Best regards,

Emil

Looks like DWG TrueView. It tries to load the configuration for the administrator, for which it doesn't have access permissions. To remedy this, you should delete a different registry key, namely the one for the current user:

reg delete "hkcu\Software\Autodesk\DWG TrueView\R21" /f

I don't have TrueView at hand, so check the registry if this key is the correct one.

Hey!

I found an installer for DWG TrueViewer 2022 on another users computer.
I installed that. It worked without issues.
Im gonna let the issue of the 2023 version go unsolved!
Thanks anyways
