Can I renew my Fusion start-up license?

Hello

I am confused about startup licenses being renewed. The legal terms say non-renewable but various threads on this forum talk about it being renewable but I wonder if that is under exceptional circumstances or old terms of subscription.

The reason I am asking is my startup license expires next year. I am a cottage industry. My annual revenue is around £6K with profits of under £1K. I don't expect, or want, my business to grow much more than where it is now, but moving to the full Fusion Subscription would wipe out most of the profits, making it pointless. In addition, a significant portion of my revenue is not actually from designs done with Fusion but ones I acquired from another cottage modeller and they were done in SketchUp (Urgh!)

It's a big jump from the Startup license to the full license.

If I can't renew then the only sensible option would be for me to move my designs into FreeCAD and move to that which I don't really want to do.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. With 1 year left to run I have to make the decision to switch allegiances or not.

Stuart

I think the information you need is here: How to register for a start-up, personal, or student license for Fusion

It says:

  • How to access the new Startup program
After Nov. 14, 2023, if you are an existing subscriber who’s current access is expiring, you will need to reapply to the new paid program. The paid program for 3-years of access to Fusion is per individual. It is not renewable. After completing your 3 years in the Startup program, you will need to either purchase a standard commercial subscription or use Autodesk Flex tokens to maintain access Autodesk Fusion.

Sadly, it does look like I need to move away from Fusion for business use since the cost increase from startup to full commercial is too large for cottage industries.
