Building MultiUser Revit 2021.1 Deplyment from Accounts page - Fails with specific extension selected

Hello,

I'm testing out the new Deployment creation for Revit on Autodesk Account. For the most part, its working as expected unless I add "Revit InfraWorks Updater 2021.1" to my list of extensions to install. If I leave that extension unchecked, there is no error.

But...Even when that is the only extension I select, deployment creation errors out.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Obviously, my connection is fine since deselecting the InfraWorks extension results in a successful deployment creation.

Hello @Partenheimer

I am not sure why the extension can not be added, I will reach out to @Tony_Michniewicz for some insight.

The Revit deployment options have improved within Autodesk Accounts, I am not sure if this was part of the improvements I do see that the documentation here recommends using your Autodesk Account to install direct or including the msi in the deployment.

Hi @natasha.l, hi @Partenheimer,

I can see the same issue, when trying to download the configured deployment.

I'm in contact with the development team, they investigate the issue, so far as I know.

Many thanks,

Kind regards,

I attempted this workflow this morning and did not encounter any problems with the inclusion of the Infraworks Updater in Revit 2021 deployment images.  There may have been a backend issue that was resolved so my first recommendation would be to try it again.  If it continues to fail, please let us know and we can investigate further.

Still no joy with InfraWorks extension included.

Thanks for looking. I have a scripted post-installation solution to use as an alternative to the included extension.

An additional note:

After today's Revit deployment failed, and while still in the same Accounts login session, I successfully created a new 3ds Max 2021.2 deployment with all available extensions included.

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience, there was a publishing error with the Revit Infraworks Updater 2021.1 which has now been resolved.  Please try again and let us know if the error persists.

@huotger

Yes. It's resolved.

And I confirmed the the InfraWorks extension is part of my deployment.

Thank you.

Hi @huotger,

Yes, I can create a deployment package with the "Revit InfraWorks Updater 2021.1" now.

Many thanks,

@huotger

New extension update... same problem.

The Generative Design Extension was recently updated with a new version.

Now the inclusion of the Generative Design Extension causes the Revit 2021.1.1 deployment download to fail.

Thank you for the information, we are indeed investigating and have removed it from the Deployments Extensions list.
