Autodesk Network License - Floating or Dropbox

Howdy all.

I'd like to achieve a 'floating' license scenario to share 'seats' between our staff.

We don't have a server - we use Dropbox Business instead.

Has anyone got any information on a possible Dropbox or web based deployment of licenses?

I'm assuming that this would be common in 'work from home' environments.

If this is not a thing, does anyone know how I could achieve the following:

- install Autodesk products on multiple machines

- share the seats among multiple users within my organization

Thanks for your help.

Some have used AWS (Amazon Web Servers/Services) to do this but dropbox is not a supported option.   Anyhow you don't need a server for the Autodesk license manage.  A Windows 7 or 10 PC will work for this as long as the other users can communicate (ping) this box.  Remote users can either VPN back in or borrow a license before going remotely.

Cheers Mark.

I guess it'll be pretty easy to always have one machine on acting as the server.

I'll do a bit of research into how a VPN would work - I guess it will just tell the License Manager that the machine is still on the local network... makes sense (I think).

Thanks for your swift response, mate.

Kristen.
