Against my preference, I am considering allowing Autodesk Desktop App to remain installed.
Some installs of Navisworks Exporters, to my displeasure, installed Desktop App without having option to exclude it.
I've tried to keep this uninstalled, but haven't resorted to the level of using IT Group Policy.
And of late, I had some issue with my Revit 2020 traditional deployment on a couple computers and resorted to installing from the Desktop App (I expected same crash, but it was successful)
Has anyone been successful on managing what comes to the app?
We have AEC Collection, but in no way want users to access software in the collection we do not even use - I've had trouble with this already. In one case I even had a user download and install software that he used on a real project that was not set in place to be used - or even, for that mater even eluded to or discussed.
Revit updates would be easier to push from the app, but, we want some control or at the least direction as to when a Revit update gets installed... the whole Revit community is aware (for the most part) that it is project critical to be on the dissimilar version/build.
Is there settings with Desktop App that I can add with some trust that it will work - without having to figure out how to sett up a test environment?
How to do this? I need some help! Thanks!
