autocad license manager is not functioning or is improperly installed

Hello,

I have a problem with lanching any auodesk program, when I click the shortcut on my desktop it first looks like it's working, but then it shows this message ''autocad license manager is not functioning or is improperly installed''. The weird thing is i used the program like 3 days ago, and now suddenly nothing is working anymore. I ofcourse searched for a solution myself, i found this page and tried the following:

(https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA...

I reinstalled autocad;

I tried to run it as administrator;

The 3rd step i couldn't do cause i don't have the CLM folder under Autodesk (see picture)

none of them worked....

I really hope somebody could help me out, cause i really need autocad right now...

I also found this page (https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1903274-autocad-lt-2017-the-license-manager-is-not-functionin...) and in that case there was a problem with the servers, and after some time it worked again. Could this be the problem? should i just wait?

I would really appreciate any suggestions  or maybe question if you have an idea?

sorry for my English it's not my native language....

Hello @Anonymous,

Try using the Autodesk Prerequisite Checker as suggested it will offer performance suggestions & setting etc. to make sure you can properly launch & run the product successfully.

Give it a try. Smiley Happy

Based on the crash report that was sent to me (and thanks for doing that)..  It appears its exiting because of aclaunchnfwws.arx.  Now I did a search and I found old postings where this has caused crashes before.  However I'm not a Civil3D user or even know if there's updates for it.

I will have to tag @Darin.Green, @DarrenP and/or @Todd_Rogers for their input.  Hopefully they will have an answer for you..  Smiley Wink

Hello @Anonymous,

Sorry for the delay. The prerequisite checker is indicating that the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M is not supported & does not meet the minimum system requirements.

Take a look at this post it seems to have caused other users an issue, Support for NVIDIA GEForce GTX 970M you can try to enable hardware acceleration in AutoCAD

Thank you for posting & I hope you figure it out so you can use your graphics card.

@natasha.l,

I can't follow the instructions of 'enable hardware acceleration', cause i cant launch autocad so adjusting the settings like it is describing there, is not possible for me. Also i have the GTX 960M and not the GTX970, and at that page you linked a guy says 'I just built a brand new PC with a GEFORCE GTX 960 4GB and have not experienced any issues' so i doubt that the videocard is the issue. Again i used autocad Civil the past year with this laptop, and now it suddently doesn't work anymore...
