Autocad 2019 Mechanical quits during install

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been trying without success to install Autocad Mechanical 2019 on to my machine. I have tried all three installation methods and reviewing the the setup log reveals no errors or failures. Depending on the installer method, if I use the Web install method the installer gets to the verifying requirements phase and then shuts down. If I use the browser method it stays in the initializing phase for over 24 hours. I have tried deleting the contents of my %temp% folder, Windows\Temp folder and still no luck. This is repeatable with all of the products i have tried to install to include Autocad 2019, Autocad 2019 Student, Autocad 2019 Mechanical, Autocad 2019 Mechanical Student, and the 2018 versions too.

My laptop is a new Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH i7-8750H Intel, 16G Ram, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

Try downloading the software from AVA (Autodesk Virtual Agent)

https://ava.autodesk.com/

Here is AutoCAD 2019 ( try this one)

https://efulfillment.autodesk.com/NetSWDLD/2019/ACD/22C837AA-0804-4C32-B5AF-B5A423960410/SFX/Autodes...

(while it's downloading)

Then make sure you have Admin rights on the machine and the UAC (User Access Control) is turned off.

From there turn off the Anti-Virus / Firewall

You also might want to try a new profile on Windows to see if you can install it .....

That’s why I prefer and recommend using AVA vs the install now option

So, I performed all of the steps you outlined including creating a new account. I complete the download and start the install. It stalls on the "Initializing" step. Are there any other ideas. Oh yeah, I have even gone as far as doing a clean install of Windows 10. As a side note I was successful at installing Revit 2019, but not ACAD. 😞

@Anonymous Based on your response after @mdavis22569 reply, you provided a screenshot of a failed install from the Web Installer which isn't the download from AVA.

If you in fact performed the install from the AVA download and the install got stuck at initializing, can you provide the installation log file found in your %temp% folder?

@Anonymous since you reinstalled windows, you should also run through all of the Window updates. Also, provide the installation log file within your %temp% folder.

After attempting all of the methods for install I tried to install from the Autodesk App that was installed with Revit 2019. I finally got  a dump file. It is attached. Any ideas???
