AutoCAD 2014 LT The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)

I've installed AutoCAD 2014 LT on a new load on my new laptop.  i get the error:

The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)

when i attempt to activate it.

After hours of web searches, editing the registry to try a network install, …  I'm no closer to using the product.  I've tried e-mailing through the contact us page.

What have i done wrong here?  any help would be greatly appreciated.

What OS is this?

Is this a physical copy?

Usually this means your given serial # is invalid or not active anymore due to the history of your product.   Meaning it may have been on existing maintenance plan that's no longer valid, you traded it in for a newer version.   But we are only users here and have no clue about the history of this serial #.

Thanks for the reply. We bought a 5 seat license. We are formatting and
loading Windows 10 on our computers. The first load is my computer and I
just loaded AutoCAD 2014 the normal way, entered the normal serial number
and I got that message when I tried to activate. What kills me is no reply
at all from Autodesk when I went through the contact channel the website
told me to go through. Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply. The OS is Windows 10. It’s a physical copy, yes.

The link to help only goes back to AutoCAD 2016 LT. Our version is AutoCAD 2014 LT (we have a 5 license copy). Still, I submitted a request for help through that link a few weeks ago and I’ve gotten no reply.

Thanks again

Do you know for sure that you still have a valid entitlement for this version? I.e. are your licenses perpetual licenses or perpetuals with an active maintenance plan or have you switched to subscription?

Edit: Also, 2014 is not supported on Windows 10 so it might not work properly or at all.

Hi - thanks for the response. We bought a 5 seat pack of permanent
licenses. I ran it in Windows 10 for more than a year with no issue. When
it came time to reload, I got the error message. Still no reply from
Autodesk.

Windows 10 will likely throw problems, however activation support will be able to get you new codes should you need them.
