A software problem has caused Autodesk CFD to close unexpectedly

It seems like I can't get CFD2019 to open a model.

I downloaded CFD 2019 (Browser Download), it installed fine.  The app launches fine, but when I tried to open one the tutorials (electronics model), CFD 2019 closes unexpectedly.  See attached file

I have:

-Dell Precision M6600 - 64 bit

-16 GB of RAM

-Running Win 7

-Graphics. NVIDIA Quadro 3000M

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Viny,

Do you have the files of the tutorial models on a local drive ?

If the files are located on a network drive this can create issues.

I experienced something like this a while back.

Did you open the tutorial model from within Inventor? Also, do you have other Addins in Inventor, other than the ones that come pre-installed?

No, I did not use Inventor, I am using Autodesk CFD as stand alone. Then import the geometry.

Thanks.

Hello,

I just had the same issue with Autodesk CFD yesterday.  I looked for answers on this forum but no luck.  I tried the following that fixed the issue.

Go to your users folder C:\Users\UserNameFolder\AppData\Local and delete folders related to Autodesk and Temp folders do the same from Roaming directory.

I was able to get Autodesk CFD 2018.2 to launch again.

Hope this approach will work with your Autodesk CFD as well

Take care,

S.
