3dMax 2013 Rendering only with 1 Processor of 2

Hello,

I have a workstation with 2 processors intel Xeon CPU E5-2620 v3 2,4GHz, and when i send a render 3Dmax only work with just one processor.

I don't know why don't use the other processors, in my configuration the hyperthreading is on.

Please, find attached an image of CPU usage and 3dMax Configuration.

Thanks for your help!!

Intel says your chip has 6 cores (12 virtual with Hyperthreading), you have two of those chips so you should see 24 cores in the task manager.

3DSMAX Scanline Render can use 32 cores and Mental Ray can use 64, so there should be no problem there.

Windows 8: Try going into Windows Task Manager -> Resource Monitor -> CPU Tab and the expand the right pane. You should see a list like the screenshot below. Check in there to see if all the CPU cores are running while rendering.

That first page in Windows 8 Task Manager only gives a simplified overview of the CPU.

I run my computer with Windows Server 2012, probably the problem is this Windows version.
I have other computer with Windows Server 2008 and 3dMax 2012 and 2013 and it render with two processors at same time, but something is wrong in my computer with WS2012.
Anyone knows what happend in my computer!? I waste a lot of money on my machine and in my Windows Server 2012.
