Like many other we are having to quickly start working from home. What I did was to "borrow" the Inventor license from the server for an extended period of time. While this worked for the first person we sent home and does not work for myself. Inventor runs and reports it is using a borrowed license AS LONG as I am still connected to the office network. However, once I disconnect and login local without the network Inventor wants the license server.
At the moment I have been able to get the software into a 30 trial state. I have an At Home use license to switch to but can not make the software allow me to enter this new information, it always reverts to the network serial number that it was installed installed with.
In a previous thread I did get some advice from @Mark.Lancaster in the Thread
However I have some questions
If I do the following
1) I already had deleted LGS.data files that allowed me to get it into a trail mode. To get a total reset I assume I need to delete these again.
2) Navigate to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ folder, Delete the ADUT folder and it's contents
3) Remove the loginstate.xml from here C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Web Services
Will the software the ask and allow me to apply the at home registration.
