Hello All,
For customers who are on multi-user subscription, maintenance (multi-user) or Token Flex subscription, they are expected to upgrade to new version of Network License Manager (NLM) whenever Autodesk releases a new version.
Sometimes, the upgrade is mandatory - since the new desktop products have also moved to new Flexnet Publisher version, while the other times the upgrade is optional, but highly recommended due to functional/security fixes.
Currently we publish new version of NLM on AKN download site(s), but we are seeking inputs from the community on how best Autodesk shall communicate to you on availability of new version of NLM?
- Publishing on AKN (current process) is fine?
- Prefer making NLM updates notification available via Autodesk Desktop App/Accounts portal
- Prefer email communication?
- others (please specify)
If you have any other thoughts on Network License Manager updates and your current discovery and plan on when you apply the NLM updates (off-cycle or with product upgrades only), please feel free to share those additional thoughts.
Thanks & Regards,
Ankush Ved
Product Manager, Autodesk Licensing

Using the accounts portal makes more sense as most software updates are published there and it more likely to be seen. However being on AKN makes the update more available like say for IT departments. Could you do both?
Thanks for your response. Yes, it does sound doable to post in both Accounts portal and AKN.
Just wanted to update here and close this thread that we have now started posting NLM updates on Autodesk Accounts portal as well. Thanks for your feedback in helping us improving the experience for all the customers.
