Hi,
there seems to been a massive vault in the Energyanaylsis-report generated by Revit/GBS.
To get the annual consumption the only thing you have to do is to multiply the annual value by 30 years.
But the point is the calculation of the LCC. Thats what the question is about. If I multiply the annual consumption costs by 30 as well, I don't get the numbers. Even when I deduct the annual discount of 6,1%.
11,354.00 $ x 0,939 = 10,661.41 $
10,661.41 $ x 30 = 319,842.18 $ LCC for whole energy consumption
Would be glad if somebody could help me.
Best regards,
Schlangenbanane

Hi Schlangenbanane,
The discount rate of 6.1% is compounded annually. Your calculation 11,354.00 $ x 0,939 = 10,661.41 $ is correct for the second year, but for the third year the cost would be 9.39% of the previous year, etc for 30 years. For example the third year would be: 10,661.41 $ x 0,939 = 10,010.92 $. Then these 30 annual values are summed. There may be some rounding differences.

Marjorie
Hi Schlangenbanane,
I just noticed that my answer had a decimal point in the wrong place. Should be 93.9% (100% - 6.1%), not 9.39%
