Hi @raaid.aldoury

Thanks for participating in the Autodesk Revit forumSmiley Happy

Can you ensure that the energy analysis and tools tab is checked in your options - user interface settings?

I am assuming you have 2017.2 or later.  Energy Analysis panel has been replaced with the Energy Optimization panel with newer features (but have the same location, energy settings and delete energy model options, along with newer buttons for generating and viewing Insights).  You do have the Energy Optimization panel to the left of the new panel  with E+ Loads, LAR and SAR.

Are you looking for any particular feature from the earlier Energy Analysis panel that is not present in the Energy Optimization panel?

Dear Dr. Krishnan , I really thank you for your valuable answer

what I missed in new feature is the amount of Co2 emission due to electricity in consumption. In previous energy analysis it was given as it is explained in figure. now I can read the amount of co2 that is produced from fuel only.
I am not sure actually maybe I could not notice its value . but your answer encouraged me to use the new feature.
thanks revit --44.JPG

Hi @raaid.aldoury

I'm not sure why you are unable to see the CO2 emissions for both electricity and fuel. I just ran a test case using Revit 2016 for the location of Santa Rosa CA USA and the service is reporting both electric and fuel in the Annual Carbon Emissions chart. What location are you using? Does it work for other locations for you?

Try the following:

  • log into www.gbs.autodesk.com
  • after logging in you will be taken to the projects list
  • cick on the project
  • click on the first run on the runs list view
  • on the Energy and Carbon Results tab, look for the Annual CO2 Emissions section below the Base Run on the left side of the page
  • Are you seeing the Electric and Onsite Fuel tons? This is the same information you should see in the Energy Analysis Results and Compare charts within Revit

Regards,

When I entered Istanbul Turkey for the location (no specific street address) the service automatically applied the default location: Halaskar Gazi Caddesi 224A, Istanbul Turkey 34384, and used the weather station 1244217. I was able to get results for both electric and fuel.

Based upon your screenshot the third-party service that we use for CO2 emissions data (CARMA) did not provide us with data for a power plant for your location--thus you are seeing "NA" for all of the Carbon data on the right side of the screen. That data is required so that we know how to calculate the CO2 emissions from electricity use in your building. The sources supplying the electric plant impact the CO2 emissions impact the CO2 emissions for the electricity usage for your project. For example a large percentage of fossil fuels versus renewable energy used by the power plant will mean each kilowatt of electricity used in your building will emit more CO2 than if the power plant used less fossil fuel and more renewable energy.

If in the past you were able to get results for your location it's possible the CARMA web service was temporarily unavailable.

I hope this helps explain it. Let us know if you have more questions on this topic, otherwise please accept as a solution so that others can benefit from this information.
