Set river flow direction

This idea was inspired by this post.

It would be nice to have an option for the animated water of a river to flow in the direction the river was sketched. Or, if the river was brought in auto-magically by Model Builder, have a toggle for the water to follow the path of the river and/or reverse it. As opposed to having it flow sideways on a hill like in the screencast below.

Ok...we need to get some up votes for this. Even a simple scroll bar, similar to the wind direction would be a decent start. I know majority of channels, stream, rivers, etc. are never linear, but providing a scroll bar would at least provide a "general" direction of the way the water should go. I'm currently working on a proposal (creating a video) and the direction of the water is somewhat critical in conveying the message of our channel project.

A seasoned engineer looks at my infraworks model for 7 seconds and the first thing he notices is the incorrect flow direction...

exactly future versions of infraworks should consider that the flow of the water goes according to the topography that you have.

6 years on and we still don't have a way to change water flow direction?!  I still have the same people telling me the river is flowing the wrong direction on the same model I have continued to add to since I posted about this in 2016.  Any info on if this will ever be added?  I am running the newest version currently and don't see an option.

This is one of the few reasons my company is resistant to presenting these models to experienced engineers or the clients - the water moves the wrong way compared to our structures. This needs to be implemented.

2024 now. This feature needs to be added. Nothing fancy. Just a toggle to change the angle/direction of flow. Doesn't need to follow an alignment or anything fancy. This display is critical to some presentations, and results in some models/videos not being widely shared.
