Restrict the number of models shown on the home page
Users should have a small drop down with a series of values to limit the number of models shown on the home page. 10, 20...50. This value would be remembered between sessions. This might be a useful alternative to filters.
In addition the settings for filtering the models should be remembered. Currently if you set the filter for example to Author and "Karsten", the next time you start the program it's all back to the default setting. Same for sort order, etc. - settings should be saved for the next session.
Else: Add a filter selection for groups to be displayed. For example: You have access to groups A-F. But on the start page you only want to see models of groups A and B.
I think there used to be a filter for groups at one point, but it was removed. Some users would forget they had filtered groups and wondered why models weren't appearing.
An alternative to the original suggestion would be to add paging logic to the models and only retrieve the first 25 or so and until the user pages down, do not retrieve any more.
With the new homepage shipping with 2021.1, there's a Recent list of 10 models, plus a BIM 360 page that shows the models in the usual BIM360 folder structure.
