Include tool to create a "best" fit" horizontal and vertical alignment based on a series of either:
- user picked control points
- imported control points from txt file
There should be an ability to specify a preference as to what the individual points are to most closely represent (ie: PI,POT,POC,BC,TS,SC,CS, etc).
And of course be able to specify the road classification and design speed before picking the points or have the alignment re-calculate based on the original control points if the class or speed is modified. Option or toggle to NOT recalculate the vertical profile would be require as well.
This type of tool would greatly improve the ability to recreate existing geometry without having to always round-trip it from C3D.
For example: Currently it is very difficult to guess at recreating interchange ramp geometries and dragging the glyphs around.
