It is often where I must manually group a range of 3D models together and then replicate them throughout the model. For instance, image a specific species of tree combined with a tree grate or a type of traffic light with specific part combinations. Image an editing palette where the user can group together a range of objects and save them as a group. Then using the City Furniture tool, draw a line and specify a tree/grate grouping. If you want to change the spacing, you do not need to draw 2 separate objects and hope to get the spacing correct. Better yet, what if you want to change the grouping set? Again, everything changes quickly without a ton of manually changes.
This would be particularly useful when used with the Place decorations feature in the Component Road tool.
