New Level of Detail Algorithm for 3D Models

The current algorithm used to generate Level of Detail (LOD) is not good. Often, the resulting geometry is barely passable, but the resulting UV map generation is awful. Perhaps this would be an ideal service to provide for cloud credits? Upload the 3D models to a service such as Simplygon or a similar provider to optimize the models, then download a LOD 0 to 2 range of models and swap out the content in data sources or the styles.
