Model Extents by Proposal

Model Extents by Proposal

This idea is very related to this one.

I would like to be able to set a Model Extent by Proposal. Now, we can only set one Model Extent in the Model Properties but this is then for all Proposals. Reason for this is to be able to work on a smaller part of the model then instead on the whole model. It should still be able to switch between Proposals and Extents fast.

Thanks, John. Is there a reason using a bookmark within a specific proposal to focus on a specific view or area within a larger model isn't a good substitute?

@scunningham, when working on specific, smal areas in extended models (10-20 km) filled with extreme datasets like pointclouds it doesn't make sense to have the whole model in the scene. Many other applications like ReCap, Revit, Civil 3D etc have options to isolate certain parts of the whole model and work on them. Proposals could be ideal for such usage when combined with variable Model Extents.

One can speed up model regeneration when working with land areas with grading, and road edits, when there is a smaller extent visible but then you may want to switch to a different proposal with a greater extent for presentation purposes.

For me the reason would be efficiency during actual design.
