Infrastructure Parts Editor for Traffic signs

Infrastructure Parts Editor for Traffic signs

My idea is, open way to elaborate and to use the "Infrastructure parts" to design vertical Signs.
We have difficult to implementation BIM for sign.

If we had a way of loading this signage database for each project and we could have the ability to indicate the variation of the height of your pole with the slope of the terrain.

I was draw some images to show this difficulties

Hi Eduardo,

In the 2018.1 release, we added parametric road decorations which should accommodate this.  You can create the sign in Inventor, set parameters as 'key' so that they are exposed in InfraWorks (like PoleHeightLeft, SignWidth, etc), then export them for use in InfraWorks.  You can then bring them into InfraWorks in the Style Palette, and use them as road decorations on a component road.  Just R-Click > Place Decoration, then select the new parametric street sign.

Here is a video that shows the process with a bridge component, but it is the same for all road decorations as well.  When you first bring it into Style Palette, you just need to set the domain and component type, to 'decoration.'

Parametric content in InfraWorks

With this system, you can create 1 inventor model for the sign, then create a list of part sizes with different heights that are available in the Content Picker.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.  We are currently working on a variety of workflow improvements to this process, so I'll probably make a road decoration specific video soon.  It would be great to get your feedback.
