This could be applied in many different scenarios but for instance a .csv file with tree data and lat/long. Or possibly survey control point data imported as Points of Interest (see attached csv file as example). I would prefer to see this functionality accepted as a non specific data type (meaning apply import to any feature type as required including buildings) and it needs to be direct import rather than a specific script. This would require the user to manually select the appropriate fields in the csv file or create a standard import/export format with availability of custom fields.
