Add Pressure Pipe (Water Pipe) System

Could you please add pressure pipe (water pipe) design function to infraworks 360 similar to drainage design function?

The reason behind this request is that pressure pipe is a critical part of city/building planning, design, construction and management. Pressure pipe is highly essential in the design process and is just as important as road, bridge and drainage.

Particularly, one of my clients requires both Building BIM & Civil CIM as part of his projects, and to have a complete and successful BIM and CIM experience, we need to be able to connect building services to pressure pipe and examine how the pressure pipes connect to the surrounding area.

We have previously experimented with export .fbx with coordinates from Civil 3D to Infraworks, but the result is less than desirable. The pipes and fittings would appear broken in Infraworks, and thus, is unable to fulfill its purpose. Even if the .fbx method is successful, it will still be a temporary solution since fbx cannot be changed, and we cannot adjust the piping network.

Add Water fittings and appurtenances that connect to pipes similar to currrent storm pipes and structures in InfraWorks 360. Additions would include items such as fire hydrant, gate valve, backflow preventer with box, meter with box, air release valve, reducer, tee, cross, plug, . Also add Water pipes including materials such as cast iron, ductile iron, steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, asbestos cement, pvc, non-rigid plastic, copper, and galvanized iron.

Great idea! It's not on the roadmap at this time but we'll keep it on the list for future consideration and see if it gathers more community support.

It's been 8 years since this Idea was first requested and seven years since it was set to "Gathering Support". Any updates?
