Set default folder

Does anyone know of a way to change the default model folder location?

Hi,

open the Windows Registry and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\InfraWorks 360 (in case of InfraWorks 360). You will find path settings for UserDataSourcePath, UserResourcePath and UserSaveAsPath. Edit these as desired.

Regards,
Karsten

Is this answer still correct with the current version of Infraworks?  If this registry key is changed will it automatically move all existing models to this new location?  Or is there risk of losing data if the default location is changed?  Thanks for your help!

After opening the current version of regedit and navigating to the files suggested in this post I do not see the ability to edit the default location.  Has this changed?  is it available somewhere else in the software?  Thanks!

InfraWorks uses the same setting today as in previous versions.

Changing the setting does not move any files. It simply sets the location InfraWorks reads/writes to.

If you have existing files in a different location, you must manually move (or copy) them to the new location you specify.

In the Registry Editor, double-click on the registry key name to open the edit string box. (See attached image)
