This is not as useful as I thought. When a design road is created and Roadside Grading is used, the cut fill slopes are applied but no option is given to allow color to these slopes. The slopes are blended into the Terrain. In the real world, the client is usually looking for an impact of how the design road cut/fill slopes would affect the existing Right of Way.
I totally agree Oriolep!
Why don't you ask for this idea to be implemented here?

There's an idea posted in the IdeaStation about incorporating grading styles for roads. Being able to specify a particular grading style would give you the ability to define a color or some other material to indicate the extent of grading. Please vote it up for future product consideration.

Hi @oriole_phillips,
In the meantime, you have a couple alternatest to accomplish this:
1. Create a coverage area over your grading [manually], and apply any available style, or create a new style to apply to these gradings.
2. Export an IMX and import to C3D. Create a simple corridor using the design details [align/profile], and create a top surface from the corridor. Import that C3D DWG, and you will have the option to import these daylight coverage areas. Apply the desired style.
Jeez! I don't think I like the sound of that, @Willy_Campbell. It sounds a lot like.....*gasp!* WORK!! 😉

How about using terrain themes while you apply roadside grading? Does this achieve a result you would be looking for?
Thanks!
Elliott
I am not trying to detail design here, only should a quick concept to a client. Infraworks falls short in this area to provide a quick visual of cut/fills for a design road.
Yes I agree with you for this I have put this Idea on Idea Station grading styles for roads, but I know in a few months we have a lot of changes on Infraworks and i hope we have this too!
