Joining separate Design Road segments

I have a model created in Model Builder and would like to create a story board using the "Create from design road" option.

I'm familiar with how this tool works, but am wondering if the segmented streets created in model builder can be joined, forming a single design road after using the "Convert to Design Road" option on all segments?

I've searched and haven't found a way to merge or join design road segments. Any help is appreciated.

These Planning roads are coming as separate segments from Model Builder. You can turn them into design roads but cannot merge them. One possibility would be to go into Civil 3D and then merge them there and export to InfraWorks.
